Hey Guys Lets post what troops you use for farming and for war here. Be sure to include how many of each troop and what Town Hall level you are at. This will help to give ideas to others.

TH 10 Farming: 20 level 6 giants, 10 lvl5 Wallbreakers, 50 lvl 6 barbarians, 70 lvl 6 Archers.
War: 32 lvl 5 Hogs, 20 lvl 6 archers, 2 lvl 6 giants, rest lvl 6 wzds, these numbers change up sometimes depending on enemy base

New TH8, so I have TH7 troops (level 4) now.
Farming: 84 Archers, 52 Barbs, 28 Goblins, 4 Giants plus Giants in CC, 8 WBs, 3 Heal Spells.
At my level, I'm only hitting TH7s, and weak TH8s, and sometimes TH6s if the loot's good. To me, farming requires some flexibility - I don't just hit next until I find 150kgold/150kelix/500de. If I stumble across a th in the corner of a base, I'll take it out with three barbs to maintain trophy level. If I find a bunch of loot outside the base, I use some of the archers and call it a day (my barracks are always cooking archers first so the replenishment works really well in these instances). No more than two walls to get through to get to the interior is my rule of thumb. And if the loot is in the interior, I like my 28 goblins - they really seem to be enough to destroy a storage in time to avoid the entire wrath of a wiz tower/mortar. I usually don't use the heal spells since they cost so much elixir, but if the defense is tough and the loot is good, I'll use two heal spells; I've disciplined myself to never use all three.
War: I don't have a go-to lineup; I really study the base that I'm planning to attack. --For raiding TH7s, I like six dragons, three lightning (to take out one air def), enuf giants/wb/hogs to take out the other air def, and a few troops to draw. --I'm still learning how to raid TH8s - 35+ hogs and heal spells seem to be the basic plan, but I'm learning that TH8s really vary in strength and my war hero score growth has really slowed lately. --Whether hitting a TH7 or TH8, I find it "elegant" to add a couple other types of troops to the mix. For example, 3 balloons seem to be able to take out one archer tower and nearby mortars if the air def/wiz towers are far away/will be far away by the time I put them in. Or, if enemy has a few collectors/mines away from defenses, I'll add two goblins, a very efficient use of 1% of my troops to take a few buildings down. If enemy has other non-defense units away from defenses, I'll add a couple barbarians for the same reason.
